Ed Sheeran Doesn't Have to Quit Music . . . He Won His Copyright Trial.  Rod called it!

Good news . . . depending on your musical taste:  Ed Sheeran does NOT have to retire from music.  A jury ruled yesterday that "Thinking Out Loud" is NOT a rip-off of Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On".

But he wasn't exactly in the mood to celebrate after the verdict.  He said, quote, "I'm unbelievably frustrated the basis of claims like this are allowed to go to court at all.

"We've spent the last eight years talking about two songs with dramatically different lyrics, melodies, and four chords which are also different and are used by songwriters every day all over the world."

That was just the beginning of a very lengthy statement in which Ed railed against bogus claims of plagiarism, saying they damage the creative process and also weaken LEGITIMATE claims of copyright theft.

He also said he refuses to be a PIGGY BANK and complained that having to be in New York for the trial caused him to miss his grandmother's funeral in Ireland.

Deathcore Band Bring Me The Horizon Goes Pop/Punk On New Single.

Who says a band can’t change up their sound? Bring Me The Horizon, known in their early days as a traditional deathcore group, has released a new single- “LosT”- and the sound is… not deathcore. Some speculate the band has created a tribute to their upcoming tour buddies, Fall Out Boy, in giving the world a more pop/punk sound.

The single is the newest chapter in their unconventional method of publishing new music, the “Post Human” series. It follows last year’s singles, “DiE4u” and “sTraNgeRs.” Bring Me The Horizon is set to hit the road with Fall Out Boy in June. In the meantime, check out “LosT”
